just a rant

friend of ours who are retired and had an endowment morgage,said they are very comfy,,they dont get any benefits because pensions good,,set me thinking ,there endowment and morgage was looked after during there life,for te best of the customer,,now me my endowment is gonna be sort ,and pension poor,,wh did bankers gamble with our money,,they have made a lot of miistakes,which we are going to pay for,,makes me angry,,just thought id say

    it what way is anyone, other than yourself, responsible for whatever predicament you are in?

    as u c from the heading,,IT WAS JUST A RANT,,,im stuck in this postion because bankers gambled with my money,and i lost,,endowment sold on promise of paing of morgage ,and a lump sum,,what a lot of s,,,t,,although ,,they did work untill bankers gambled with our money,,,and i know im not the only one in this postion,,,but surley u can see bankers gambling with other peoples money is wrong

    You gave them your money to gamble with. Nobody forced you to take out an endowment mortgage. You wanted lower repayments and took a risk to achieve that.

    many people had a mortgage without an endowment

    why didn't you?

    Perhaps if the risks had been explain at the time fewer people would have taken them out.

    clapton twenty five years ago,,this was the favoured way to take morgage(comma) so was only makeing decesion on the advice given to me,by an expert(comma),didnt know that the system was full of conmen (comma) playing with ur money

    People just heard, "Free lunches, get 'em while they're hot" and didn't look beyond that.

    An endowment mortgage is a pretty simple product and the risks are self-evident.
