Nissan Juke - car seat help!
Options
Hi are there any car seat fitting experts on here who could help please or perhaps another Juke owner....
We need to buy the next stage car seat and want a rear facing one as these are safer. For some reason this country is ridiculously behind on this and hardly anywhere stocks them making it difficult for us to try one out first.
I have been looking at the maxi-cosi Mobi but I can't find whether it would fit a Juke and also worried about how far forward the passenger seat would have to be to fit it in.
Any advice please? Thanks in advance

Have you contacted the manufacturer? Dont they need to ne specially fitted to be rear facing?
So simply picking one off the shelf to try wont be quite that simple.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Your best bet would be to look at the rear facing website - sorry I can't post links yet.
I have bought all my rearfacing car sets from the In car safety centre in Milton Keynes as when I first needed one they were pretty much the only stockists. These days you'll likely find somewhere local to you has them, I found I had to go to 'posh baby shops' rather than Halfords or Mothercare.
If you haven't already tried I would also suggest looking at the Mumsnet forum which has a car seat section.0 -
Order one to your local Mothercare if they stock them online, then try it out in the car park. Return if it doesn't fit.
I would've liked a rear facing one now my little one has outgrown her baby seat. Unfortunately my car is a three door and our other car is too small to fit one.0 -
Your local mothercare should stock them? I work in the smallest of Mothercares and we have the Maxi Cosi Axissfix, 2way Pearl and Britax Dualfix on display. Stores with their own car park can bring them out to your car to try them so no need to pay out first0

Google the isofix (conveniance) options for both your vehicle and the car seat. The seat is bound to fit anyway and the real issues tend to be around whether your little one should remain rearward facing or not?
The best advice is generally to have a child rearward facing for as long as you can get away with it, given that larger rear facing child seats are not exactly in abundance in the UK at the moment.0
