Car insurance when moving

Hi guys.

My car insurance is due for renewal in March so I'm planning ahead with what to take out this year. Usually I buy the cheapest I can find but this year is a bit different so I'd like a wee bit of advice please.

In the next few months I will be moving home, and later in the year (around September probably) it is likely I will be buying a new car. So on both these occasions my insurance will have to change.
Of course, I accept that the changes will cause a re-calculation of my premium but I am looking to reduce the admin costs etc.

Can anyone recommend an insurer that offers low costs when moving and changing vehicle?
Do any of the comparison sites make these admin fees clearer than others?
What are the other gotchas I haven't thought of?

At the moment I'm thinking my best bet is to get the quotes as normal and then read the policy documents to find out exactly what's charged for what and crunch numbers myself..... but hopefully someone here has a few tips :)
