Best way to send a flat screen TV box sized parcel

I have an item listed, as collection only due to it's size, but have had a question about delivery.

Luckily the item, although not very valuable will fit nicely in an old flat screen TV box 9cut down a bit)

The dimensions (when cut down) would be 86cm x 90cm x 18cm. The weight I estimate at about 15kg (maximum)

What would be my best option for UK (mainland) delivery please ?

I only use MyHermes normally, but this is too large for their service.

There are sites like Pasrcel Monkey etc, but how easy are these to join etc. I do have a printer.

thank you for any advice.

PS I'll go and get the item weighed properly now and the box, but if anything my 15kg is a bit over, rather than being underestimated

  • Have a look at collect+ because last time I checked about a year ago, they had larger sizes than Hermes.

Would use something like https://www.parcelmonkey.com or https://www.interparcel.com some other parcel comparison tool. Just put the details in and you will get range of options. Just make sure you check the weight or over estimate, if its heavier than you say they will charge you extra and an admin charge.

Collect Plus size restrictions on size are smaller than My Hermes. My Hermes let you have max 120cm on one side, Collect Plus is about half of that.

I would say this is OK for myHermes - the parcel is less than 15kg, less than 120cm in length and a maximum combined length and circumference of 225cm - from their website.

Sorry, but I checked their site, which states

If you add the two shortest dimensions and multiply them by two, add the length, the total calculation needs to be under 225cm.

    So (86+18) x 2 + 90 >> 298 cm, so too big
