Family travel insurance with children who are 18

Looking for insurance companies who will provide family cover for 2 adults plus 2 children aged 18 and 15.

Amex will do it but only with an annual premier policy for £388.

I could buy a family policy to include the 15yo and a separate adult policy for the 18yo but I'd prefer one policy as it makes any possible claim situation much simpler.

Forget family insurance. They are geared toward 2 adults & x children.

You need to be looking at insurance for 3 adults and one child. The 18yo is an adult now not a child

Insure&Go Annual Black for example quotes £209 for 3 adults and one child

  • Many policies have a full time education clause for over 18s.

Cover includes your spouse, civil partner or partner (who you live with) and children under 16 or under 23 and in full time education. Children are not covered for independent travel

Nationwide FlexPlus covers 18 year old "children". £10 a month with a load of other benefits too.

Hmm, can you book it for me ;-) :) I'm getting £300 for Annual Black for a 46,45,18 & 15yo.

Thanks to the others for the suggestions, much appreciated - one other issue is the 18yo is on a gap year so not in full time education.

    Doesn't matter with Nationwide
Family members include your partner/spouse and all children (including legally adopted, foster and step children) of the account holder who have not reached the age of 19 or not reached the age of 22 if in full time education, living at the home address and are unmarried or have not entered into a Civil Partnership. We will cover dependent children who do not reside permanently (or for the majority of the time) with the account holder, providing the child(ren) reside permanently with the other parent for the remainder of the time.
