tried a few of these, some in the house in the corners where it usually gets damp, and another in the car.

absolutely useless in my opinion, the car still steams up and they don't collect hardly anything indoors. it appears the granule things are stuck together so maybe that's why, but they don't work.

a proper £99 dehumidifier from b and q collects loads of water when i use that instead.

I use this for the car works great hardly ever get condensation. When the spot changes colour from blue to red its time to bung it in microwave for 5-6 minutes. Let it cool for 15 minutes and put it back in car.

As for house I use a proper dehumidifier those cheap things only good for very small areas. I would personally get a proper electric dehumidifier. I run a Mitsubshi one cost almost £300 but its doesn't take up much space and its quite and very easy to empty at front of dehumidifier. I hardly get any condensation at home humidity is around 40-50% tops

I have two of them there just re badged dehumidifiers come under various names. I keep two in built in wardrobes to cut down any localized humidity

Those granule ways are always in pound shops, save yourself 80p if you want to use them! But yes, I agree, they're pretty rubbish.
