Uninstall hp 3050 desk jet printer

I have a hp 3050 desk jet printer and i cannot uninstall it .I have very limited knowledge of these thing and have tried the uninstall via my control panel but it is still there .I have looked on the HP web site and followed there instructions but without any luck.I found a uninstaller program but they wanted me to pay$20 for the privilege.
I have a ACER lap top running Windows 7 if that helps.
As i said my knowledge of these things is very basic so plese be patent.

Try reinstalling the original software , then attempt the uninstall again from add remove programs

I have tried twice to install new software from the HP site i can uninstall the new update but not the old basic device software

Device manager device uninstall .

Problems use USBDEVIEW tool see google search engine .

You could try Revo Uninstaller (which won't cost you $20)?
Did you reboot after the uninstall, as this is sometimes required?
It doesn't really matter if you leave the old printer installed, you can still install another one and set that as the default printer (if that is your purpose in uninstalling it).
