BlockingThe USA again

Having opened my listings again to the US after Christmas I've decided to block them again.
Just had a full INR case open on eBay .com for an item bought via ebay UK in Mid December, no previous contact. It looks as though the 30 day limit to eBay claims does not apply on eBay.com as my only option is to refund or add tracking.
Bother and blast.

I've just checked PayPal and although this appears to be a US purchase, the postal address is in Bosnia and it was definitely bought via eBay.uk.
So I might not have to block the US after all but I am a bit peeved that as a seller I am not protected against 2 month old claims even though the site I list on tells me that a claim can only be made up until 30 days after estimated delivery.
I'm going to leave this until I am home and on a land line and then phone eBay and have a moan. Obviously I am still going to have to refund, but I think it is a cheek that seller protection is not as stated when we list.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I had this once and dublin got ebay USA customer services to call me back.
They told me that the case was purely for information and I didn't have to do anything and nothing would happen if I didn't -the case would time out eventually. (This was pre-defects).
I had already agreed to refund the buyer before realising the case was out of date so never found out whether it was true or not. i thought it was very dubious though."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I did once have An out of date case and it was fairly (ish) obvious that I could refuse to refund.
This one though was a proper case, it said that if I had not uploaded tracking or refunded by the 28th then eBay would step in and decide the case for me, and a warning said if that happened then I would not receive back by FVFs.
eBay CS today said that any person can open a claim in eBay.com and The seller would therefore be subject to the .com rules- and that might well mean a perfectly legitimate claim for INR after just over 2 months.
So I just refunded and have blocked Bosnia. So basically sellers, beware. We are not safe from a claim even after the highly advertised time limit of 30 days past delivery.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
