I don't want to enter this argument, but I do want to make a point about the economic sense of quidco. The majority of cashback sites are working on very high profit margins, quidco works on very low profit margins. £5 a year per member plus network bonuses is sustainable if enough volume moves through the site. As it is right now we have just started and have a small member base so it doesn't take a lot of time to run. If it is successful it will take a lot of time to run but it will also be bringing in enough revenue to support paid positions.
Part of the purpose of quidco is to break the veil of mystery around cashback sites. Many of them attempt to make it sound much more complicated than it is , I think in an attempt to justify their enormous profits. quidco uses the exact same tracking technology and networks as any other cashback site so there is no technological difference. We're not cutting any corners, we've just made it work efficiently and honestly.
I have no problem with people wanting to take a wait and see position. Wait another month or so when people start getting paid out if that will make you feel more comfortable. I'm sure if I was in your position I may feel a little wary too. However at the end of the day we are just a small group of a few simple people who wanted to offer a honest, ethical and non-spammy cashback solution to people who can see the value in that.
