Most basic tomato sauce for Bolognese - buy the Smartprice Tin tomatoes or passata and even add half of the ingredients above on that recipe - dynamite. I usually just use a Smart price Passata, couple handfuls of frozen cut onions and peppers.PK! :money:0

Circa 1999-2001 I worked in a food processing plant. We were making pasta sauces. I have stopped buying processes pasta sauces, after seeing what there was in it. But if you don't mind eating chemicals, go ahead.
everything is chemicals, fruit, veg, meat - its all chemicals one way or another.0 -
Only if you read the Daily Mail - If you believe everything you read then we all should be dead years ago
Now that would explain the cobweb hair and the dry flaky skin I have now.
Seriously, I do read the Daily Mail stories and think to my self that the journalists do not get out much. Stories can have an effect on people.
Look at the MMR jab story which got out of all proportion due to an ill-reported misquote which is now leading to Measles making a huge return in America.
Had the Measles when I was a kid, would not wish that on anybody.:(The more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!0 -

I don't think he meant that type of thing, if you know what I mean. The more I live, the more I learn.

Don't bother adding any sugar or sweetener to a Bolognase. Make your own using tinned tomatoes or passata (approx 35p from Asda), an onion, a bit of garlic and some dried italian herbs. Much healthier than a sweetened pre-made sauce.0

Dont believe all you read. My Dad is 61, never smoked, ate healthily, no added preservatives or general carp, ran every day, had a 6 pack still in late 50s and has cancer. My Grandad has always had sweetners (for my 30 years I know of) which contain it, eaten badly, smoked like a chimney for 50 years and he's 90 in July.
Yeah, I've seen these examples for ages. It depends on the person and to do with genes etc I think you're right.0 -
We are all going to die eventually.
Better to be happy and live a happy life than live a miserable life because you are told it's bad for you.0 -

Something I'd love to be able to be able to do in the future, time and money permitting.0
