Jammed bedroom window

Not sure if its the cold or anything but even in summer it had condensation on it all the time(no other window in house has condensation except kitchen window when cooking)
I hardly ever open it, opened it twice in about 4 months but earlier I opened it to let some air in bedroom before I went to bed as left heating on a little too long, when I went to close it it just seems stuck, I gave it a little force now it opens a little but still wont close, its one of those windows that has the handle at bottom and opens at bottom rather than sides as its a old building, the hinges on the right seem jammed and ones on left seem ok.
I did just squirt the last of my WD40 into it but apart from that what can I do without damaging the frame? I dont want to break the window, I was thinking of tapping the mechanism/hinge with a hammer gently but dont know if that will work.
Landlord is a agency so not in till monday., I have some olive oil if that will grease it a little.

I should be clear that I am a autistic person so take that into account as that response can upset me a little.
And why not? when mechanisms break you need to lubricate them with something like oil or grease I just wasnt sure if olive oil is suitable.0 -
Sorry, I think you mistook me, yes olive oil may work! I just think the idea of using olive oil as you have run out of WD40 kind of funny, it wasn't meant as offensive. Apologies if it came over that way and upset you.
Is there anybody else you can ring to help you, maybe it just needs a couple of people pushing. A hammer may work but be careful not to damage the frame or striking so hard it shatters the glass.0 -
Im a big guy so I can easily push the window just worried about damaging it with too much force.0

Are you on the ground floor, if not can you not just close the rooms door and sleep in another room until Monday when you can call the agent?0
-
First floor though I do have a small ladder and a pole.
I do have a spare bedroom but I struggle to sleep on a single bed and it gets too much light to sleep past about 4am there and noise from the road.0 -
Looks like it's either a single bed/noise or the fresh february air... Or the floor/sofa somewhere else in the house.0

Vaseline
Works wonders!
From what I remember0 -
Personally I think you should try and sleep in the spare room, even with a disturbed sleep and not go on a ladder at night as it may be dangerous. If you do use the ladder I would use it in the morning when light.0

Or baby oil :j
Sounds like definite lubrication is needed.0
