Hey Guys
I'm new to this web-site & feeling a bit thick! I can't work out how to put the comps in order so that the ones ending soon come up first. I've tried to reverse the order so that oldest threads come up first but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are finishing first. There are 250 pages so I would appreciate some help with this from you kind people!
Thankyouuuuu xxx

hi, try this..
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=72&pp=200&sort=title&order=desc&daysprune=-1&page=13
& here.. is very useful..

You can change the Forum thread order to sort posts by end date. Simply go to the bottom of any Forum page & on the left hand side is ‘Display Options’. Click on the ‘Sorted By’ dropdown & then select Thread Title. All 200 odd pages are now listed in Thread Title order.
Each thread will now be listed by the ending date used in the thread title. This means that the threads which end on a particular date will be grouped together - you will just need to find out which page they start from & then you are ready to enter comps for a particular end date.WARNING: If you are entering comps on the day or even the day before they end you run the risk that perhaps the comp has closed a little early & your entry won't be counted. Another thing to bear in mind is that the Board Guides volunteer hours of their time to keep these boards clear & running smoothly so sometimes comps which are ending today or perhaps tomorrow (in rare cases) may be moved to Game Over a little early - this is a task which has to fit around their real lives & also when they have some spare 'online' time.
SUGGESTION: If you really want to only enter comps right when they are ending then I strongly suggest you get a couple of days ahead of yourself to avoid the above.please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -

Not sure if I am allowed to say this here (if not perhaps a mod can delete this) but the Prizefinder.com has a section for competitions closing soon which I use a lot - not many wins though whichever method I use!0

Board Guide Role Description
Sticky: Please read: Site Feedback Board Important Threads
I also use a few other comping sites which have a section for competitions closing soon,
I can't see it as a problem you mentioning prize finder as lots
use different comp sites for various reasons for which is their own prerogativeplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Hi,try these:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4140535
Today's most popular
Here are some buttons to display the forum (in forum view) with 40 threads per page instead of the normal 20. You can change the &pp= number to whatever suits you best, but I would advise not selecting a number too much higher. Note that the first page will contain more than 40 due to the stickies.
If you can't see the 3 large coloured buttons above then you have got MSE set to NOT SHOW IMAGES (in User CP). For those people:-
New Topic View = http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...dateline&pp=40
End Date View = http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...prune=-1&pp=40
Standard View = http://forum.moneysavingexpert.com/f...lastpost&pp=400 -
Or this:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=72&order=desc&sort=title&daysprune=-1&pp=20
Then just navigate to the page required.

I see no issue with mentioning other comping portals.
I myself have done so in the past eg HUKD Loquax.
Personally I think that unless one is very organised & methodical it is better to just enter (note the bold) via one portal & given that MSE has the most comps posted of any of the sites mentioned surely that portal will be MSE ?
Some say other sites are great for chatting to like minded people or posting amusing signatures but for entering comps you'll find that the MSE functionality a great aid. That way you will go some way to avoiding entering a comp twice.

My "favourite" MSE view re "using" other portals to actually comp via seems to be covered via this poll though:0
