Hello
Can anybody recommend a place/website to buy a digital camera from? I've never bought a digital camera before in my life! Are the there any good places which won't con me or try to sell me things which i won't need?!
I've done a bit of reading and get all the basics. I want to spend around £100. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

You could try jessops if you have one, i mean ask jessops on a good camera and have a look on the internet for a good price and buy it off the internetNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
a great place to try would be https://www.dpreview.com it a review site of all things camera related. If you ahve an idea of the basics it is great for doing serached for cameras if you know what youa re looking for and the camera reviews are very informative. you may get a little lost in some of the detail that people go into but generally it is a great little site to check out. Other than that if you know what you liek any comparison site would be able to help you out. check out google products for price comparisons etc
Hope i have helped rather than hindered. E0 -
Also the review site I posted is an excellent review site, one of the most trusted digital camera reviews sites there is.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... I usually go here to compare what I require and then 'google' any camera that looks suitable.

I also try and get a camera with a big, bright lcd screen as that adds enormously to the fun you can have taking digital photos - particularly sharing with others when you have just taken the picture.I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!

Any purchase over £18 from 7dayshop.com is liable for customs duty. This can often make their amazing pricers not so amazing. That said I've used them several times and would happily recommend them but i've only purchased smaller items like printer ink and memory cards.
For more expensive items i think there are other places you'd better using.
Keen photographer with sales in the UK and abroad.
Willing to offer advice on camera equipment and photography if i can!0 -

I think the customs duty darich is referring to was payable in the past (a few years ago?), but things have changed as Inactive has mentioned - from here:If the delivery address for your order is in the United Kingdom, all prices shown are FULLY INCLUSIVE of UK VAT where applicable and all goods are in FREE CIRCULATION within the EU. No further duties or taxes are payable upon receipt of your order - we pay these for you.
For all deliveries which are made outside of the UK, you may be asked to pay Sales Tax at the correct rate for your delivery country. This may be charged on top of the price paid to us, and is collected by your Post Office when your goods are delivered.
