Cheetah C150 GPS Detector
Over the last few weeks I've had several emails regarding the below new GPS Speed Camera Detector
http://www.cheetahgps.co.uk
I've had a Novus Piccolo in the past but it's been discontinued so can't update it. I have thought about getting a replacement but do fewer miles these days & slowed down a lot but this seems to be the closest to the Piccolo I've seen size wise.
With this being so new there isn't any reviews, does anyone have one or an older Cheetah GPS system? Are they any good / worth having?

Speed limits change too often around here, They would need to do weekly updates to be worth trusting.
GPS app on your phone?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Stand alone units are worth a dozen sat nav type units, 1 unit, 1 job, however updates have always been the issue with them.I do Contracts, all day every day.0

GPS app on your phone?
That's the main issue with them, they are only as good as the updates. If they aren't often or there data source is poor they are almost pointless.
My old Piccolo I only updated if going somewhere off or if I new of local changes, but can't do that now and even local its so out of date it's now useless.
I have PocketGPSWorld on my iPhone but I'm not over impressed by the app. The Piccolo was always plugged in and started up with the engine so no messing around.
This Cheetah sounds similar but it's the updates and general database they use that I need to know about....0 -
false sense of security IMO. you will become reliant on it and completely ignore a mobile speed camera unit.0
