in Credit cards
Hello, I've never had a credit card before and was looking for any help please? The only reason why I am getting a credit card is because I am hiring a car abroard and they need to keep a credit card on file 'just in case'. So I don't want to use the card and want to get rid as soon as I come back.
Can anyone help by advising which card would be best for me please as I have no idea?
Any help would be great!
Thanks
Chris

if you have an income try your own bank.
however, the credit limit may be low if it's your first one
assuming you are reasonable sensible, it is beneficial to use a
credit card regularly for things you buy anyway (maybe for supermarket shopping, petrol ) and always pay in full .
this will enhance your credit files should you want to get a mortgage in the future and of course allow easy access to hire cars abroadEU tariff on agricultual product 12.2%
some dairy products 42.1% cloths 11.4%

Hello, thanks for your reply.
Sorry for the silly questions but I am new to this... but... I did see a min card limit of £250 on a tesco card. Does this mean that the min amount I could spend to use the card is £250?
I have managed all these years to stay away from credit cards as only like spending the money that I have got in the bank (though I have got mortgage - no way I could pay for that straight out of my acc) ha!0 -

a minimum of 250 mean that's if they decide to offer you the card they will give at least a 250 limit.
you are free to spend as little as you like but the total balance on the card must not exceed the limit.
250 is quite a small limit and may be insufficient to rent a car.
whilst it is commendable to always save for things your want (except a mortgage), in modern life a CC can be useful : renting cars and booking hotels are good examples as are section 75 protection and rewards and cashbackEU tariff on agricultual product 12.2%
