Small Business Virtual Address

I am thinking (and procrastinating) to start a small home based business... my lease says I cannot register any business/etc.
Are there any company in the UK I can use to have 'virtual' admin address for this purpose?
Has anyone used it and is it expensive?

There are many providers offering many different services.
If you are going to set up a limited company and do not want your residential address to show up anywhere you will need:
1. a registered address for the company,
2. a correspondence address for the company,
3. a service address for the directors (at least you).0 -

thanks - could I use something like http://www.cityaddress.co.uk/mailbox-services/registered-address.html instead of registering the LC at my residential address?0 -

Something like that plus a correspondence address if they can't provide it as an extra.
You should also remember that they may charge you to forward mail to you, and probably will charge you if it is a full virtual address.
A local provider, which you can visit to get your mail may therefore be cheaper and/or more convenient.0 -
If you're going to be using accountants for the company, they can also provide this.
That's what I have with my companies.0 -

It will not likely say you cannot RUN a business, which is different to registering a business as unless its a limited company you don't register a business.
so registering a business elsewhere, would still mean you are running the business from your home0 -

It says I cannot register a LL and perform some trade; though the agent said that working from home is perfectly fine!
I suppose it depends on the business... if I start welding in the living room is maybe more noticeable than working out of my laptop! :rotfl:0 -

most likely the same restrictions as local authorities. if you have people coming to you day and night causing a disturbance or having delivery vehicle arriving all the time then it will be a No No unless you have planning permission
don't forget even a clerical home business you would need to inform your insurance company0
