Trying to get money from old savings account?

Hi There,

After about 4 years I switched my bank account from barclays to halifax, after a month I remembered I had left around £50 in my old savings account that i'd forgot to transfer over
A few months later I opened a new barclays account and set about trying to get the money back, annoyingly I didn't have the sort code / account number to the said regular savings account as all my statements were online and I hadn't backed them up before switching and losing access. The account was at the same branch with all the same information as my new account, and during one phone call the guy on the phone was able to find it and gave me a number to bring into branch to assist linking that account up with my one at the moment thus giving me the money back, but as it was christmas I didn't have time so i've recently called back and they seem unable to find the account (It wouldn't have been closed as it's only about 6 months old) when before christmas they were able to find it.

I have all the details for the savings account in terms of name / address
Also the sort code / account number to the current account that savings accounting is attached to, just not the information for the savings account itself

Just wondering what I need to do since i'm not too bothered about the small amount but it's just a point of, it is my money and i'd like it back and don't want to just let them have it but i'm growing increasingly irritated at the lack of being able to do anything to get it so any advice would be appreciated
