Turbo Lister - Designer

Please could anybody tell me if you need to pay extra to use the designer feature in Turbo Lister in order to get the nice borders etc?
I have used it in the past and didn't think it was costing me anything. However, when an item didn't sell and I went to revise it I noticed that there was an extra fee for designer.
Does anyone know?
Many thanks.

If you dowload Turbo Lister it is free. I have seen a charge too, but as I've never used plain Ebay to list anything I don't know how that works.

I can tell you though that Turbo Lister costs nothing to download and use :)

This question cropped up on the alt ebay group recently and the answer there was that if you select designer listing on Turbo lister it is not charged. However if you relist via ebay, or place the auction directly on ebay without using turbo lister it costs 7p extra to use designer.

I don't use the designer listing tool so I can't guarantee the accuracy of this reply, but it would seem to fit the experience you have had.

Yes I can confirm this has happened to me several times, its kind of a catch 22 situation as you want to 'relist' rather than paying more fees yet you get stuck with the 7p charge cos you are submitting it through the ebay system instead of turbo lister... The only chance that there is a way round it would be if turbo lister lets you 'relist' items but i don't know anything about that??

Turbolister doesn't let you relist :( All you can do is upload the same item again, but it's counted as a new listing.

Which means you'd end up paying more than 7p - bet thats why they do it so they get a few pennies here and there and they all add up!!

Thank you all for your help. It seems that I am pretty safe to use designer in turbo lister without getting charged. As I only list low value bits and bobs if i am not careful I can end up incurring fees higher than the value of the item!
    Many thanks

As long as you always check what you are being charged per listing before uploading you can keep an eye on your costs.

    It does mount up though.
