Are you comparing new business quotes to renewal prices? NB is always going to be cheaper for 99% of insurers. Most insurers give heavy online/ NB discounts which roll off in the following renewals and ultimately are funded by those that stay with them for donkeys years paying substantially above NB prices.0

Insurances groups don't necessary count for much. Certain cars carry a much higher risk than the insurance group they are assigned to due to various social reasons. Corsas and young lads are a classic example.0
