I was one of those that never thought it would go below £1 anyway, but such is life.
Cheapest diesel I've bought has been at £1.08, about 3 weeks ago in Leeds.
I can spell, my iPad can't.
It did go to under £1 at some Harvest forecourts down in the midlands area.
Took them long enough ... WE posted about this days ago.
I know, I posted about this last week too. And the price has risen again this week.
MAssive differences in prices across the midlands area. For me diesel as low as 109.9 but as high as 117.9...disgraceful really. I actually think its worse as prices didn't fall as fast and never got that low in some service stations
It dropped to around $48 a barrel a few weeks ago; Brent Crude is currently around $61.
Quite why oil prices have suddenly risen (aside political unrest, pounds sterling vs US dollar etc) I can't seem to find out.
However I feel it's a temporary blip... Give it a few weeks and I think they'll start to fall again.
The cheapest I've paid for fuel in recent weeks was 94.9p/l (Unleaded) at Sainsbury's due to a 10p off per litre coupon. I paid £1.059p/l at my nearest Tesco Express which is vastly different to the petrol stations near to where I work which are charging £1.119p/l!
