  • I am seriously thinking of paying for private healthcare monthly when I'm older.
42 at the moment and can't afford it but I do worry about when I'm older.
It would cost me a fortune though as like my ciggies :(
I smoke amber leaf and it costs me next to nothing as my dad gets it from all his pensioner mates that go abroad :D
And I like my wine three times a week :p
Who's going to insure me?
I do have an electronic ciggie now :) just have to take it out the packet and use it! :o

I wonder how much it would cost for bupa or whoever? I will be healthy by fifty and sign up i think :T

Benenden is a half step and v. affordable (from £8 plus a month) - it offers some of the services of private healthcare without the huge premiums and is a step up from the NHS. A good compromise.

I am 53 and my company pay around £1400 per year for my Healthcare cover ( I pay tax on this figure) and as it's a company scheme they disregard previous medical history. On a personal Private health quote don't expect them to disregard heath history it could be very expensive if you have had bad health in the past.
