Aaaaargh, don't you just hate it when you type a long post then the site logs you out so you lose it??!
Sorry you have so much on your plate at the moment, Bobarella, hope you will soon see the light at the end of the tunnel
I'm back in bed now keeping warm having put on some washing. What with me being ill and my mums mishap my week off hasn't been as relaxing/rejuvenating as I'd hoped and today is my last weekday off so today is going to be a lazy one.
I had a query about my mystery shopping assignment which I've now answered so it is all in order now. I passed over one for a shop I'd never use before remembering that both my mum and MIL buy stuff from there so I will look out in case it comes up again as I could buy something to put aside as a present.
My mum gave me bags of cleaning stuffs which I've left in the car, (she stocks up like she's preparing to be snowed in for 6 months then runs outside of space!) I will send DH out to bring it all in later to check what's there but I'm not going out into the cold/wet at all today to give my cough a fighting chance of subsiding.
The estate agent called to say our viewer for the weekend has cancelled and discussed dropping the price, which I'm open to but not by the amount he is suggesting (which is just 10 grand more than a terraced house in our road which was a complete 'project' with a hole in the roof sold for a few months back when mine is a semi and in good nick with fantastic kitchen.) He says if we price it low we will get competing bidders which will push the price up again but I'm really having second thoughts about moving at all now the house looks all nice :rotfl: and, unless there is a big enough gap between this and the next house there's no point doing it, especially a the first 20k will be lost money spent on stamp duty and EA fees.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Today I have managed to get a fair amount of work done at work. lunch was brought from home (biscuits and snacks). Nothing at all healthy today and i'm starting to feel very sluggish:(
Our house was finally listed online today (we signed paperwork last week and had the photographs taken). First viewing booked for Monday. I'm hoping we sell soon as I have big (debt free) plans for the money released in the sale!
House moving - we are planning to decamp some of our furniture to the new house this weekend (a couple of wardrobes in each girl's bedroom, a bed for littlest girl's room as well as bedding, towels and clothes that we will not need for a couple of weeks. I'm hoping to clear most of the kitchen and my crochet stash to the new house, before we move in properly next weekend and we can start back on more cost saving
FVD - maybe you need a new EA. I was flabbergasted when some came to value my house and the difference in amounts was staggering, nearly up to £70k difference in two extremes!

FVD - have you tried holding an open house at all?
I asked them to organise a open house (and put the date up on Right Move) but they said they are loathe to put it on there as, if it doesn't sell that day, everyone knows it didn't sell at that price which puts you in a worse position.
cat - we only got 2 agents round and these ones valued it the highest, the other valued it at what this one now wants to but I'm not prepared to lose effectively £25k just to make their job easier! They charge so much so they can work for it and at least (I hope!) get more than an extra £10k than a house that was derelict! Here's hoping yours sells quicker!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
