  • Hello MOLLY so lovely to see your name on the screen when I popped back. Hope your black dog will go walkabout on its own very soon and leave you in peace petal, Docky is still going strong despite the tumour on his muzzle, he's got a new lease of life on the Zylkene and is back to puppyhood and being an absolute pickle, but it's wonderful!!! Love and hugs Lyn xxx.

    Morning all,

Molly41 (((hugs))). I don't know what I'd do without my antidepressants if I'm honest. Ive tried coming off them so many times but since my circumstances never change and life is generally rubbish I end up going back on them. Maybe I am not strong enough for the rubbish life throws at me I don't know. Anyway, just wanted you to know your not alone.

Put myself to bed early last night I was shattered. My future son in law didn't pick my Grandson up last night till nearly 7. It was a long day and whilst concentrating on him I burned the tea. They are beginning to take the mickey, both my daughter and son in law. It started off that they would pick him up straight from work but now it seems they are fitting in shopping/the gym in between. This is going to have to stop.

Youngest has been offered 3 jobs with 12 month contracts. He was elated last night until he told his Dad. I know his Dad was desperate to get him onto his job to help him out. He'd took the job on a price before it sank in how much he'd be away from home. Hence him wanting our son with him to get it done faster (paying our son of course) but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. He phoned his Dad and got a lecture and came off the phone feeling very disillusioned. "Just for once, why cant he be happy for me?" he said. "Sorry Mum, I just cant wait to leave home". So sad really.

MrsLurcherwalker so glad to hear Docky is doing so well on his new meds. I am so pleased for you.

The sun is shining here. Looks like we are going to have a nice day.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

HM Leek and Potato soup for lunch, Yellow sticker corn beef cakes with bubble and squeak and baked beans for dinner, Yum!

Just chillin today, hope my eyes get better.

Having trouble seeeing the keyboard, so I'll go.

  • Molly lovely to hear from you.

I hope that the westies chase the black dog away soon (((((Hugs)))).

A friend has given us a beautiful room sized rug that is just the right colour for the bedroom that has saved us a lot of money :D.

DH wants to do the whole house from top to bottom this year including installing a downstairs shower for me.

We are starting with the bathroom in the next couple of weeks, then it will be the downstairs shower room followed by the rest of the house as we can afford it.
We already have the wallpaper and paint for DS's room, the hall, stairs and landing thanks to some lucky finds last year in the sales, so only new carpet to buy.
I am hoping to get the kitchen done as well, savings permitting, it is only small so it should come out quite reasonably.

We are off to Bletchley when DH gets home from work to get something for his birthday on Sunday

Getting hungry so off to make myself a mushroom omelette for lunch.

    Afternoon all,

Since DD2 arrived last week she, OH and I have all done some shopping separately, lack of communication meant that we ended up with something like 5dozen of eggs.....this morning there were 8 for breakfast, 3 had 2 boiled eggs each and the rest one, so some of the problem solved, I reckon some baking will sort the rest.

Cold here this morning, fire in living room is making a huge difference.....some clothes on line, will have to watch them to get them in quickly if it starts to rain.

There are 10 for dinner tonight, OH bought 3 kg of steak this morning.....reckon that should be enough with carrots, parsnips, squash and potato.

Molly, good to see you posting......would agree with Judi about anti depressants, I gave up the verylow dose I have been on for years when I was in hospital.......needed to go back on later, dont think that I will quit them again.

Have a good day all, going to do some knitting this afternoon

Heyyyyy Molly *high five* Good to "see" you mate.:o
LW, do you have any furry friends staying at the moment?
Sadly no; Button went home this morning (she's been here for the last week) and my next guest isn't due til 30th March, unless there's a last-minute booking comes in.

I don't worry about it - the anti-d's are just a few more tablets amongst the plethora of others I have to take; no muss, no fuss.:D Better than the hell that is "talking therapies" any day of the week!

I sympathise. My father wanted me to work for him when I was in my 20's (it'd have been "paid" work on paper, but you can bet your boots I'd have not seen a bean of it) - I refused point blank. Well done to Youngest on impressing enough people to get three offers of work.:o

Well done, too, to Tired Mum's DS on passing his Theory test.:T

I took them first for post natal depression when Youngest was born in 1996 but started taking them in again in 2006. I gave myself 6 months off them before starting them again in 2008. Ive tried since to come off them since then but I couldn't cope without them. Very dark thoughts started creeping in which scared me. I wont come off them again.

  • Well I am feeling quite pleased with myself, I have just been to Morrisons for a top up shop and I have come out this month with £4 65 from my monthly HK budget. So I have fed it into the holiday spending money tin, its getting quite heavy, there should be enough for a few treats when we go away!!
