                    Hi,
Apologies, I have tried to search, both here and on the web but can't seem to find the answer to what seems to be a simple question!
Is it possible to view the letters of administration for a sub £5000 estate? or does the small nature mean that it doesn't need to be registered somewhere? The deceased lived in England.
Thanks in advance.

Any LOA that has been accepted can be viewed but not many estate that low in value are applied for.ChasingButterflies wrote: »Hi,

Ok, that makes sense, and explains why there is no record anywhere!
I never actually had sight of the accounts, but had been told that it was less than £5000. The solicitor had me sign a document so that my aunt could deal with my (estranged) fathers affairs. I might just have miss-heard the letters of administration - or perhaps they just found they were never needed.
Thanks again, much appreciated.0
