DIY conveyancing, as a seller

Nothing to stop a buyer doing his own conveyancing - but the lender will appoint (at buyer'scost) a solicitor to put the mortgage in place (ie ensure buyer owns the Title and Charge is registered with LR.LOL, very true but I think he needs a mortgage and I understand that lenders won't have any truck with DIY conveyancing.
Lots of duplication in these roles so not actually worth DIY.0
