Resonsibility for fence? tenant or landlord?

So basically it's your neighbours that want a new fence but they want you or your landlord to pay half the cost? And you're quite happy with the existing fence?
If I was you I would say yes, go ahead and contact my landlord/agency. I imagine they won't get anywhere and if they want a new fence they will have to pay for it. There's no way the neighbours can require you to pay for a new fence and the only way your landlord could require it was if you had damaged the existing one.0 -
No one is responsible for maintaining it, because there doesn't have to be one. Of course if it falls down and causes damage, then the owner is potentially liable if it can be proved that he/she could have foreseen the result of their neglect-but that's another argument. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Its the LL's responsibility not the tenants. My fence was falling down, my LL replaced it at his expense.SPC7 ~ Member#390 ~ £432.45 declared :j
