Hi all trying to sort my insurance out last year I paid £580 I just passed done pass plus and just passed my test.

This year I got 1 year no claims and been quoted by the same insurance £746 so been shopping around and finding how mad Insurance is.

Cheapest I have found is Churchill what is £491 with £350 Excess but if I do the same details but say I am a girl I get it for £430.On other quotes saying I am girl I get £100 off.

Also as I am gonna be student soon Its move expensive it just really silly how small thing's can effect the price

any suggestion apart from having sex change icon_smile.gif........

    Castration?

    sorry couldn't resist :p

Unfortunately car insurance is more expensive for boys than girls, especially when starting out. Nothing you can do without going under the knife I'm afraid.

You could alter the title or you could end up getting some really queer comments.

I think you're making the wrong comparison....you should be comparing what you paid last year with what you can get the insurance for this year. Looks to me that you've managed something like a 16% reduction - possible improve on that if you raise your excess to £500.

    No-one said life was fair
