In my case i rang them the day before i stated work. Was a PITA trying to get through to them to cencel it (job centere wouldnt let me use the phone and was give the wrong number) but persevere.'

My point is quite clear, but seemingly over your head. The poster was criticising someone for not noticing a date, but did exactly the same herself. This leads to others then reading the thread as current and generally causing confusion, as evidenced above.

All they have to do is look at the dates like I do! So no it didn't go over my head. It's just an irrelevant comment!
