Landlord Insurance for leasehold flat

Hi all, may I pick your knowledgeable brains please?

I have a leasehold flat of which all the owners are directors. I am renting it out - tenants moved in saturday. I pay a management fee to our management agent which already covers buildings insurance, maintenance, electricity of common parts etc.

How much landlord insurance do I need? Should I also insure the building in case of emergencies? or just cover loss of rent, legal costs, and minimum contents ( carpets and white goods)?

Your brilliance gratefully received.:D

THANKS X

  • They are all optional and so its down to you to decide if you need these or if its better to simply budget for occasional needs to replace carpets etc
