doing my head in this one a friend who has an ebay account (doesn't use it) and no paypal account wanted some computer parts on ebay I talked him thru it , buying with his debit card as a guest paypal user. parts arrived , faulty , communication has been going on for about 5 days with (large) seller final statement , "you…

it does,nt actually state THAT YOU HAVE TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE PAYPAL CLUB.

You bought as a guest. Look again, can you read the T&C?
