Landlord storage query

Hi there,
I'm looking for some advice regarding the storage of my landlord's items in my property. We are renting a 3 bed property via an agent. Upon moving in we discovered a large, dismantled dining room table in our box room. This room is used for storage, particularly by my flatmate who has a very small bedroom (her wardrobe is in this room for example). The table was not present when we viewed the property and there was no mention of it during the viewing or rental process. There is also no mention of it in the inventory though it is visible in one photo. It is very large and is preventing us from using the space adequately. We have asked for it to be removed but the landlord has refused. She says that the flat has been let as a 2 bed until recently, so the dining table was in use and probably will be again and she has nowhere else to store it.
It's really inhibiting our storage facility so we're desperate for it to be taken away. We also feel that it is not our responsibility to store large unusable items belonging to our landlord. Is there anything we can do?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Its not on the inventory? Bin it.0

It's on an inventory photo - beware binning it............
Plus you'e admitted it is there by contacting the LL about it, so if it is not there when you leave, at best expect a battle, at worst expect to be charged.
* negotiate harder with the LL?
* Pay to put it in storage?0 -
Find out what rent had been when it was a 2bed and ask for the appropriate reduction as they are misselling the property to you as 3 bed rental.
Wouldn't throw it away though, that's it is obviously not your property and you are aware of owner and the likelihood that owner wants to keep it.0
