How long one can issue credit card refund??

How long a merchant can issue credit card refund??Say from the transaction date after lapse of 6 to 7 months can a merchant issue credit card refund??

It's a visa card....Please post me an update...:beer:

They can always put money onto a credit card, if it technically counts as a refund in as far as the merchant fees they'd have been charged being refunded may well vary by their merchant bank provider etc

As II says, money can be put onto a CC at any time, however, the retailer may well no longer have a record of the card details after that length of time (in fact, I'd like to hope they wouldn't unless they have a particularly good reason to retain them) so you may need to either represent the card or provide the details again.
