Help!
My Mouse is moving and highlighting everything on its own!! I've made sure that the automatic highlighter is switched off but I'm sure there's something else I can do - whenever I double click it switches off & then picks up and moves whatever I'm trying to see.
I've had this once before but forgotten how to get rid of it!!

Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Have you tried a different mouse ? If it's a laptop, then try plugging in a USB one.0

Is this a laptop or computer? And when you say your mouse is moving, are you using a touchpad on a laptop, or an external mouse?0

Sorry - I have a desktop with a bluetooth mouse. I've checked the mouse operation & that's all OK. I was using Adobe Photoshop yesterday & I think I've done something there that has transferred itself!
When I move my mouse it creates a 'dialogue box' if I double click I can turn it off but when I click to access anything it turns back on - it also highlights and picks up to drag & drop - I can turn it off by right clicking but it reverts as soon as I click again on anything else - its driving me mad!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
What mouse is it?
Sorry to sound like the typical IT person, but have you turned it off and on again? No, no.. kidding, but have you? :P Actually, because you said, "I can turn it off by right clicking but it reverts as soon as I click again on anything else", I'm wondering if you've recently updated Windows (I assume it's on Windows?) and perhaps there's now a conflict with your mouse - have you seen if there's an update for the drivers to your mouse?0 -
Ohhtoria Just tried this in desperation before I read your post - yes - its worked. I've not updated anything but good old Microsoft may well have done some updates. Sorted now - and breathe!!
Thank you :TSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
