Letting Agent demanding rent be paid in advance

Indeed.
I would change the locks and I would also ask a friend to phone up and see if they have any properties to let in your immediate area giving the description of your place as the thing they were looking for. The chances are they will be told that nothing's available but if there is then they could book a viewing and not turn up thus waisting the agents' time. I would keep texting them "I'll be a few minutes late" messages for hours. Get ten or more friends to do this and it will seriously spoil their life!0 -
Surely your contact States that the rent is due on the 13th each the month with the start date of the 13th March. Therefore, paying on the 13th March would meant that you are paying it advance as that month's rent payment would cover you for 13/3 to 12/3. Presumably you have already paid until 12th March.0
