Stop worrying about money whilst you are there. Sometimes you have to let your hair down and if you spend a bit, you spend a bit. Your signature is looking good to me so everything is going to plan there. Enjoy yourself and forget everything whilst with your family!! And that's an order Mr L.

    Back @ home. :)

Had a really nice time being away - it always seems to do me the world of good to break the routine and be elsewhere for a few days.

Everything went well and was pleasant - we were busy a lot, my mum took us out here and there, seeing other family members, shopping, showing LL a few of the big pet shops etc. Met little Zachary obviously too which was awesome, he is a real cutie and so similar to LL at that age, I gave him loaaads of smooshes and so did LL who wanted to hold him constantly :A

Spent a lil bit too much but nothing severe - contributed to the cost of a take away, bought Easter Egg for LL & my niece, and a little present for Zach as I hadn't ever sent them a 'new baby' gift.. an Easter Egg and some flowers for my mum, and other than that it was just the cost of a couple of bits of extra food we needed along the way so as not to eat my mother out of house and home! Ended up having some nice quality time with my brother again, two nights running my mum took care of the LL bedtime saga and I was able to hang out with him, have a bit of wine, and watch a DVD - on the second night I went to Tesco and got us some duck, pancakes & the trimmings with Ben & Jerries so we had a bit of a food fest :D ...it was decent, relaxing time, getting to stop being dad for a sec too:p.
My spending was definitely in check anyway, at the most £40 "extra" was spent - and I came home to another letter from the Tax Credits folk to say I'm getting a little more (again) than I was expecting -and it might even go up again after the renewal pack goes back this month- so that kinda made up for guilt pangs on my extra spending :)

Journey both ways totally fine... despite LL wanting to listen to THE SPICE GIRLS for most of it :rotfl: #retro
I found a CD wallet stuffed full of really old CD's when I was sorting- old school memories galore on those! We had them on in the car but a lot of them scratched beyond repair, apart from.. The Spice Girls :o

Hope everyone is doing well, sorry about not having much time to write on other threads but will do some catching up between doing endless amounts of laundry etc tomorrow :o xx

EDIT: Brought back the double duvet and LL's new MARVEL set (:heart2:) is about to go on!

Forgot to say - there was a bit of a drama- one of my mums cats ran away yesterday.. she has a brother/sister pair.. still quite young, but they both stay quite close to home and never go away for more than half an hour or so.. but we didn't see the female for about 7 hours yesterday.
Cut a long story short and my mum more or less having a nervous breaking & declaring we'd never see her again (the cat lol) .. the little kitty duly strutted in at about 9pm without a care in the world. All is well that ends well but my mum had us looking in all the bins in the whole area and I almost had an altercation with a bloke who seemed to think I was a tramp looking for my next meal. :rotfl:Embarrassing.:o

The cat probably had just decided that LL and Ozzy were *far* too lively house-guests and swanned off to someone elses house to lay on the couch, play chess and be fed sardines for a while. They aren't silly! x

Welcome home! Sounds as though you had some well-deserved R&R.

Keeping my fingers crossed that LL's new bedding does the trick & that you both get a restful night.

Hooray for new duvet and duvet set!! Bet it looks awesome and I am officially jealous of Luca's bedding :D

Can I join the spent little too much this weekend club? :o:o £20 on 2 easter eggs. What is wrong with me? Another £20 on 2 pairs of jeggings. £6 on free from chocolate for an easter egg hunt for madam. Being "good" and avoiding a takeaway cost me £71 in Mr S :o

Glad you got a little time away for R&R and time to stop being a dad for a second. Blooming hard work these kids eh? You are such a fab daddy :)

    Have a good evening. xx

Nothing much to say tonight.... feeling a little bit 'off'. Probably a little bit of post-"holiday" blues, I always get it when I've been somewhere, had a good time, and come back. Plenty of unwelcome thoughts of how I've effed up my life and all the many things I would be doing differently if I hadn't got into this money mess. I think I might sit down and write a 'cosmic wish list' because apparently that helps.

Conversely I am trying to remind myself of the good things such as how I'm paying the debt down on schedule, things *will* get better eventually.. and remembering that every day that passes is another bad one behind me & that isn't getting any worse.. if that makes sense...
I hate not having the freedom just to buy stuff like I used to ... LL & his room is really the big project but I can't do the things I want to do for him in there - freecycle, car boot sales etc is the best we can do, but when he really wants this or that, or in a specific colour, etc, it makes me sad that I can't just get it. He loves turquoise and wants a lot of turquoise stuff but it's hard to be that specific when it's freecycle etc.. but will be keeping my eye out, and am saving for a futon for his room which will help when we have the occasional person to stay and will be great for him to have as a chair the rest of the time, there is one on Amazon for £85ish so will aim to get that at some time.
He LOVES his new duvet and cover and stayed in there all night!! :D

No time for woe is me. Everything is happening as it should, and all that. Chillaxy evening ahead- we had sausages and mash for tea-and I plan to have a cheeky little sausage sandwich with the leftovers in a while as my last holiday treat heh heh :) :heart2: speak soon x

The thing is Levi you DIDN'T have the freedom to buy things before which is how you ended up here :D. Don't beat yourself up - you're doing great and those debt totals are really dropping :T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
