    Afternoon all,

quiet day for me today... well as quiet as you can be with an 18 month old running around. The list of things he cant play with is growing by the week. Trying to child proof my house is getting harder and harder because there is always something he wants to play with that he cant have. Ive just put him to bed, he will be asleep till about 2.30 then he'll have his dinner and we will have the ritualistic Cbbeebies programmes this afternoon. We've been playing with his pirate ship this morning.

Its tipping it down here. Its grey and gloomy. I'm glad I don't have to go out.

Changed the Girls dog food the weekend and one of them has got a bit of an upset tum. It'll pass.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

  • It is a nasty day here, very wet and grey.

A quiet day for us as well. I popped to local shops for a paper and a couple of things, but other than that very quiet. We have an A*da shop being delivered between 1.30 and 2.30 and that will be highlight of our day :)

    Have a good day everyone.

Not long now Gers enjoy your long weekend

  • Good afternoon everyone.

Rather grey and dull here with a cold wind. Have put 2 loads on the washing line, so hoping it will just need finishing off indoors later.

Yesterday made my marmalade and got 5 jars out of it, so very pleased. We had some this morning with our homemade bread, it was very nice.:) I do have another net so will make some more at the weekend.

Have done a few chores this morning and will potter this afternoon. Not sure what to do for dinner, might just get some pizza out of the freezer and do HM wedges and salad.

    Have a good day everyone.:)

    Afternoon all,
Grey here at the moment, waiting for the rain:rotfl:
Had my nails done yesterday, hair today, don't feel a scruff now!:rotfl:

Had yellow sticker (M&S) Chicken Korma last night , lovely! Got a carbonara tonight.

Must do some baking, cake tin is empty!

No OH this weekend, so it's going to be quiet. :T

    Enjoy the rest of today.

  • Afternoon all,

Actually got some bed linen almost line dried this morning. It's started to drizzle now :(

Cleaned through and then have been sewing. I found an old blouse pattern that I last made with my mum a long time ago. I don't think I'm doing too badly.

Went to London with DH yesterday, tried on lots of nice dresses and DH wouldn't let me go away and think about it and bought the one both he and I and the shop ladies thought suited me best! I do have to say it is a very 'me' dress. Met DD for lunch and showed her, she thought it was a good choice, so if she is ok with it, that's all that matters.
I've ordered some shoes I found in an online sale and they should be here tomorrow. I have such trouble finding shoes that fit properly, it'll be a miracle if they do!

    Mince for tea.
  • Help I need a break from Peppa Pig! Youngest DGD would watch it dawn to dusk and I must have seen every story at least a dozen times! The older two have gone to the swimming club and won't be back for tea until about 6.15. Lasagne all ready and waiting to pop in the oven for us all. They are usually ravenous = combination of the exercise and waiting so long for tea.

Got my Aldi shop done this morning and an extra item went in my trolley. They were selling frozen turkeys off half price so a small one (£4.99 from £9.99) is now in my freezer. Will do nicely over Easter!

Hester, have you tried Hemp Hand Protector (B*dy Shop) for your hubby's hands? It's the best hand cream I've ever had. It doesn't come cheap but it does work!

Have a good rest of the day x

Oh that's not fair! Lots of frozen Xmas party goodies half price too but summoned some willpower up from somewhere and none of them jumped into my trolley!

  • TA, thanks for that if the coconut oil doesn't work I'll try that next.

    Evening all,

We have had some veryheavy rain showers today, nasty day.

Thank you for all the kind remarks about our friends death, they are much appreciated.

Got my hair cut this afternoon, hadnt been done since November so needed tidying up badly.

DGD3 is 7 today and requested spag bol for dinner, an easy one for me, the four cousins have been together all day and are hyper, so it is unlikely that they will go to bed willingly tonight.

Feeling tired myself tonight, its been a busy day, so will wish eveybody a safe and comfortable night
