I did a Lidl shopping. Is this a record?

I'm just starting the process of submitting an appeal to Athena but thought I'd ask on here if anyone has parked at a Lidl where the "allowed duration of stay" was less than 10 minutes? That's the ridiculous limit at Lidl Barnsley! Surely they can't claim that this is a reasonable amount of time in which to park, walk across the car park, shop, pay, return to the car, unload shopping, return trolley to enclosure, return to the car, exit car park?!?!?! I'd be interested to know if this is a record ....

Don't drop yourself in it.

Its 10 minutes if you dont shop at lidl.
If you do shop, you get longer, but need to enter your reg at the till.
If you didnt do this, then you get a ticket. They usually cancel on production of till receipt/bank statement etc.
Best tactic it to get the cashier to cancel it next time you shop there, after they rung up your goods but before you pay. If they refuse to sort it, then cancel your shopping, but buy one small item so you can get your parking sorted or you will get a second ticket.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
Thanks for explaining the 10-minute rule.
I did indeed read acres of the Newbie section but, despite my having shopped in Lidl for 35 minutes, I can't find any evidence of having done so, hence thinking that I'd need to follow the appeal to PCN route. This particular store is not one I would normally shop in - I did so to see if they had a particular item which was not stocked by my local Lidl, and they did not have one in my size. I'll keep looking for a receipt ...
Also, I didn't understand the reference to signature removal.0 -

There isn't one, what you read is actually Trubster's signature, not something directed at you.0 -
So what's the deal if you shop in Lidl but don't actually buy something?0

Simpler solution, do not shop at Lidl
Get a few friends together and hand out warning notice to customers of Lidl asking them to boycott the store. Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -

Did you make your purchase using a debit/credit card? If so, your statement is adequate evidence.0 -
Hi. Checked my cards and bank statement but can't find any evidence of purchase. As Herzlos asked above, what happens if you don't purchase anything? If you go into a shop but they don't have what you want, can you still be classified as a customer? Like many people arriving at a Lidl in the twilight, I didn't even see any signs, never mind read them. Had I done so, I'd have made a token purchase or just left straight away.0

The facts of what actually happened on the day are irrelevant. Please read the NEWBIES thread. Mitigating circumstances are not taken into account. You need to use the same legal arguments everyone else uses to win, i.e. no contract (because signs were rubbish), not gpeol, etc.
Write a draft of your appeal, post it on this thread, and people will comment. Do this before you send it off.0 -
Is this fair to a disabled person who may be wheelchair bound and take far more than 10 minutes to get into the store?
Of course not and the actions of Lidl should could be challenged on equality legislation alone.
I'm surprised that the local council don't take this up as it appears to me to clear discrimination against those with mobility problems.
However we all know this PCN process is nothing to do with servicing customers needs!REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0
