Car Tax - monthly?

Does anyone know what date of the month car tax is taken from your bank if you opt for the monthly payment plan for it?

Can you choose the date when you opt for the 12 monthly payments?

Currently doing a budgeting spreadsheet for all bills etc with all dates etc.

1st payment a couple of weeks after the date taxed, the rest 1st of the month or 1st working day after.

Three cars and a bike all taxed this way.

  • 1st payment is 15th of the month, then the 2nd of each month there after.

No they're not. Mine were 19th after taxing on 5th January, 13th after taxing on 30th January and one has gone out today after taxing on 4th February.

Seems first payment comes out two weeks after taxing. Not done one over a weekend yet though.
  • I have just renewed my car tax today by direct debit.

The email I received says the first payment will be taken on 4th March and the following payments on the 1st of each month.
