Santander Debit card abroad

Hi all,
Have Santander Debit card for my 123 account.
Done a bit of reading, and that card is not recommended for use abroad because of the charges & loading it attracts.
However, I vaguely recall reading that some ( or all ) of these charges don't apply if you use it in a Santander ATM.
Going to Lanzarote in a few weeks, and I know from previous visits that I have seen Santander ATMs in the resort we are staying at.
So, if anyone can fill in the gaps in my knowledge, would be appreciated.

I know with the gold debit card there is no fee at Santander machines, which will be really useful in Denver in May as the nearest Santander machine is only about 3000 miles away.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Ta- All main adult bank current accounts (those which are credited with at least £500 per month) can benefit from free cash machine withdrawals in Spain at a Santander branded cash machine
It's not specifically stated whether this is just mainland Spain or if it includes islands. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

I've used my 123 account debit card when I was in Spain last year, I didn't get charged for withdrawing cash from a Santader cash machine.
You will be charged the 2.75% conversion fee if you pay using your debit card or a 1.5% conversion fee if you use a non Santander cash machine.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

The T&C say that you don't pay the ATM fee.
EDIT: I was wrong. No conversion fee for "adult current
account customers paying in at least £500 each month"
Also you pay £1.25 flat fee on purchases.or a 1.5% conversion fee if you use a non Santander cash machine.0 -
Thanks for the info everyone, appreciated !0
