New Conservatory. Terrible Service.

I'm looking for some advice about where I stand legally and what other people would expect. I will try and keep it brief.

Last August I paid a 25% deposit to a company to install a new conservatory. The dwarf walls were already in place and I took down the old wooden conservatory.

They arrived in October to start work and it soon became clear that the conservatory had been measured wrong, but the fitter carried on and tried to make it fit. I asked a builder to look at it and he pointed out several problems which I relayed to the company and they put the whole thing on hold in November. They agreed that they had measured it wrong and said they would take parts of it down and start again. After much deliberation they offered us a 10% discount.

This work was booked in for January and we were told it would take 5 days maximum. However they are still doing it now, seven weeks later. They tend to work for a day and a half or so then disappear for a week. I have complained to the director several times and he has promised me that he will get a completion date and they will stick to it.

However this has caused so much stress I just want them gone, but finding someone to finish off would probably take any longer. I dont feel like 10% is really satisfactory compensation at this stage. if they had of finished it in the 5 days of January I would have been happy, but I now feel like I need to ask for further compensation. What do you think and where do i stand?
