How do you attach your MIFI Modem to the window?

I've recently purchased a Huawei E5331 Mi-Fi Modem.

I'd like to be able attach it to windows (the glass variety, not the OS), in a way that will enable it to be easily removed, without leaving any residue on the glass.

I was thinking of using a couple of double sided suckers.

However, I wonder if there are alternative/better ways attaching it, perhaps a bracket (maybe something similar to a Satnav bracket?), or a sling?

I'm not sure a hotel would appreciate me gluing my MIFI Modem to their windows.

then use bluetac or a bit of tape , you omitted to state it was a hotel ie, temporary use

the time googled to find that picture is longer than the time cutting a bit of sticky tape

+1 for bluetack. Don't ue it for a MiFi but do use it to hold a GPS dongle to a window. O course someMiFis may be a bit too heavy.

    0.6 x 0.9 x 0.1 cm, so 6mm x 9mm x 1mm ... Really?

If it's unlocked why don't you try another network provider with a better signal?
  • The signal is OK, but I'd like to attach it to the window to a) get the maximum signal strength, and b) to prevent it being dragged off the cardboard box, on the window ledge, by the charging lead.

Since this is "a temporary installation", why not use as many of the double-suckers as will fit on the modem? You will, of course, have to be very careful not to break the glass when pushing them to attach to the window!

This assumes that the cleaning staff will not be worried that your magic box might somehow be spying on them while they do their daily work, and that you can spend a minute or two cleaning the window when you eventually have to remove the device.

Good idea. Two should be enough, I would think.

Modern double glazing panels take a lot of breaking.

I wouldn't be leaving it there, while I was out of the room.

As for the suckers leaving a mark, I always carry a pack of moist toilet tissues in my suitcase, so one of them should remove any marks.
