Options
Would anyone here have any opinions on whether Rehau, Kommerling or Veka uPVC window frames, in plain white, look less plasticy?

Thanks!

I notice some manufacturers offer 10 year guarantees with non-foil frames, and 5-year with foiled frames.

From this I assume the standard non-foiled frame is better lasting, so I'd opt for a non-foil frame.

Judging by the number of threads started asking about double glazing, frames and doors I think the OP has difficulties in making their mind up.:D

:D I'm educating myself about the topic, which is what MSE is about.

Really I don't know anyone with a shorter guarantee than 10 on all frames (5 on glass) .

If you want windows that look less plasticy, have you considered windows not made of plastic?

Or an educated customer, who doesn't instantly believe much of the nonsense heard from double glazing salesmen. :D

I have considered them. Ideally I would have hardwood frames, but for a number of reasons I'll most probably not opt for these. Instead I'll probably opt for the (usually ugly) uPVC.
