Hi,
I have just today issued a court claim online, although i didnt realise that banks had a waiver to hold off dealing with such claims until the test case is over.
I had warned them of going to court many weeks ago, but due to personal circumstances was only able to claim now - will this affect their ability to stall my claim?
Can they really stop my court case progressing for up to a year? it is really affectibg my finances as every charge is causing more charges and snowballing and my bills are bouncing causing more charges!
thanks

Wondering where i now stand with my claim against Yorkshire Bank. Was told on July 12th that my settlement cheque had been requested from their solicitor but may take up to three weeks to get to me. Chased it up on monday of this week and they are now telling me my claim is on hold for the forseeable future! Can they do this after already sending for a settlement from their solicitor? - very confused - not getting any answers from the bank0

if you have the cheque just cash it...job done!
FSA website says thet if they have already offered you a settlement they cant take it back, they can only put new claims on hold.0 -

Court cases have not been automatically suspended it depends on the judge. Some courts are suspending cases others are not. So it is a case of issuing and seeing what the court and banks do.As I am not the Pope or legally qualified I may be wrong so feel free to get a second opinion from a qualified person0 -
