Its stored on the Apple device, Natwest/RBS wouldn't have access to your fingerprint via using your apple device equipped with touch ID.

The fingerprint itself is not stored on the Apple device (as the article you and NoMore link to explains).dr_adidas01 wrote: »Its stored on the Apple device0 -

Ok smart !!!! your actual finger print isn't stored on the device, but a mathematical representation of it is stored on a secured chip on your apple device.
Is that better for you?Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

It is a bit fundamental to be precise, not just approximate, when it comes to security. Big difference between storing an image and storing some data that relates to the image.0 -
This is a great idea. I hate passwords.
Please create a password with between 6-8 digits with including an upper case character, a lower case character, a number and a special character (*%£@ etc). Who can remember these things!
It would be easier to be chipped like my dog.

Great to see RBS introducing this functionality to their apps.
Hope RBS are ready to embrace Apple Pay from the get go in the UK.0
