parcelmonkey

Having 2 large boxes to send the best quote I received was through parcel monkey?

But after typing it all in the payment gateway took all my card details and tried to set up a recurring payment?????

Now my bookings have vanished, and the only way of contacting them is by writing to them in Eastleigh???

And now it wants my date of birth and gender???

Is this some sort of weird scam?????

  • And my first (and last) attempt to use Parcelmonkey turns out to be a waste of time, anyone else for shipping large, but light and near worthless parcels?

    Hello,

I can confirm that no details have been stored and that an order has not been made.

    Kind regards

I have no interest in my details being stored by ogone, I assume than nothing has been booked, and my card details have not been recorded by ogone whoever they might be?

I think a stiff letter to the UK Cards Association detailing your method of doing business is in order.

    Hello,

This just means that your card details are going to be stored via Ogone, as in the event that additional charges incur, they will be charged to your account.

I can confirm that we can have these removed from Ogone once the shipment is delivered.

I assure you this is not a scam and that you are not being ignored.

    Kind regards,

And now I'm being ignored, clearly I need to find a proper company to use, next stop trading standards and the card provider...

I tried to book a parcel, I typed in all the details, but the payment gateway insists on a recurring payment, no booking?

It sounds to me like they need the option to recharge your card if it turns out you fibbed about the parcel weight and they get charged extra by the courier that carries it.

This seems to be a current issue with parcel companies, we've had two recent threads where a courier has gone back and charged a sender for an oversized parcel.

I have to say though that the courier customer service needs some work from the sound of the OP!

myHermes booked direct are good value for light large packages.
  • Did them through P4D in the end £7.99 a parcel, bit miffed that Parcelmonkey wanted to set up a recurring payment and wanted my DOB, felt like I was applying for a loan not booking a parcel...
