Trouble with Google Chrome

Since yesterday I am having trouble with Google Chrome. The white screen doesn't cover the whole area and I can still see the blue screen behind (where all the icons are). It needs to go up about 1 inch at the top and about 2 inches to the left. The little arrows won't move it any further. If I use Internet Explorer it is fine but I can't access emails on IE which is why I use Google Chrome. With the white screen not at full size I can't get down to the bottom row to get the attachments on an email or x out of anything on the top right hand side where the minimize etc. is because they are too far over. Hope someone can understand what I mean and would appreciate some help please. Thank you

top right of chrome window can you see the middle button of 3 that is a single square outline. left click on that and your chrome window will 'maximise'.

Thanks tonygold but that is the section that is too far right. All I can see on the screen is the end square that looks like a small head on shoulders!

You don't say what version of Windows (assumed), but .... assuming Windows 7:

Press Shift, hold it and right-click the Chrome icon on the Taskbar
Select the Move option
Press once the down or left arrow
Move your mouse so you can see the window controls

You should now be able to resize the browser, or maximise it.
