  • Hi Stuart,

Endeavour Personal Finance are part of HSBC group. If you don't have any of your original documents then send a SAR to HSBC for a copy of the loan agreement and you will also want a letter from them confirming the PPI was sold by Norton Finance.

You need to claim via the FSCS, I would raise the request now online and they will send the paperwork to complete out to you and you can send it back once you have the original docs.

    Thanks

    Hi Ollie
Thanks for your quick reply, to clarify I'll need a letter from hsbc saying that Norton sold the ppi?
Once I've filled in the FSCS form who do I send it back to?
    Thanks
    Stu
  • You send them back to them (The FSCS) well actually it goes to Deloitte who manage the process on their behalf.

I'm going through a claim myself at the moment, Norton were the brokers and funds through EPF.

I took about a month for HSBC to send a copy of the loan agreement only for the FSCS to say they needed proof Norton were the broker as this is not noted on the loan agreement so then took another 3 weeks to get a letter confirming this. Therefore I would cover both off at the same time.

Hope your claims goes through ok.

  • Hi, my ex got a call from a company called Beech Consumer Services about a Norton Finance (Endeavor) loan we had years ago, she went ahead and got forms from them to claim back ppi. After digging out a load of old paperwork i have found the Norton Finance application form with all our details printed on it and the Insurance Protection box already crossed.
Should I go ahead with the company or do it myself? Would it be just as quick and easy to do it myself?

If the loan was taken out on or after 14th January 2005, you can make a claim to FSCS, do not pay a company to do what you can do for free.

If the loan was taken out before that date then you will not be able to make a claim to FSCS, you could try to find the Underwriters of the Insurance, be warned that this will take time and you may not have any luck, by the same token, neither will a claims co.
