DD lives in a house with three friends. She lost her job in early jan so signed on ,then signed off when she got a new job a month later. The total sum she recieved in benefits was £100.
She doesn`t get paid from this new job til 5th march , so is she entitled to housing benefit and jsa up until that date?

I'm unsure about the LHA but if she's not claiming JSA I wouldn't think there would be anything to pay.0

Unless she is eligible for HB on her income she won't be able to claim as her wage on the 5th March is covering for this period...the same goes for JSA.0

Did she apply for LHA whilst she was on JSA???If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Wages are counted as income from the date they are earned not from the date they are paid. HB would end from the following monday after she starts work. These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0
