Credit checking website Accuracy

Hi I have signed up to one of the three main credit checking websites.

It lists me as having a credit score of 999 "Excellent". What puzzles me is that it only shows one of my personal loans and is missing my:

- current account and OD
- second personal loan with same bank as above
- credit card with same bank as above
- another debit account (ex graduate balance at nil)

Am I to assume the bank (Nationwide and Natwest) have not sent this information and that another of the credit checking agencies will have this information and thus a completely different score?

Thanks

You say you have signed up one of the three credit reference agencies. You should sign up to all three.

Not every company reports to each agency. You may see things on one report that do not come up on the others. That is why you are recommended to get your reports from all three agencies.

The credit 'score' is completely meaningless, it is the information that is contained in the report that is important.

    Good luck

As above. Credit scores are meaningless to lenders as they don't see them anyway.

As regards paying the Credit Reference Agency, don't sign up to their membership after the free trial. You can get a statutory copy of your report for £2.

You don't need too, just cancel once you have got what you need.
