Which investment?

Hi,
We are approaching retirement age and have £50k to £60k available for safe investments.
What best advice does anyone have?
What about Pension Bonds?

Not sure what a pension bond is but as a couple you can get £30k into S&S ISAs this year and another £30k from April so it will all be in a tax free wrapper.

Then it's entirely your choice as to the investment you out in it which can be as risky or safe as you want.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

The NS&I Over 65 Bond is about as safe as it is possible to get. I presume that is what you meant by pension bond.

    not enough to go on.

You need to clear up some things too. You mention investments which generally means using risk based products/investments. But then say safe and also mention pension bonds (which we assume means over 65 NS&I) which is a savings product (deposit based).

You make no reference to what the money is for (income or growth, short term or long term).
